This method is also used when cooking onions or potatoes that are cut into thin pieces. The ingredients are tossed into a very hot shallow pan with hot oil until they become golden brown.

Another method is to arrange the food on plates or bowls right inside the steamer racks. After carefully arranging, this is then slowly placed over a pot of water that is already boiling. Alternatively, woks can also be used with this method. Finally, the third method is the one where ingredients are placed on a bowl, and then partially immersed into boiling water. Within a specified time, the ingredients are gently cooked by the boiling water, as well as the steam produced from the water. Accordingly, steaming is one of the healthiest cooking styles because they bring out healthy and subtle taste of the ingredients used, thus making it not necessary to add other forms of flavorings.
